Travel the Island Highway to Port Alberni.

From Port Alberni follow the signs to Bamfield. You will be travelling on a well-maintained gravel logging road for approx. 95 Kilometers (60 miles).

By Boat: MV Lady Rose or Francis Barkley:

These freight/passenger boats leave Port Alberni at 8 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays yearly. During July, August and September, they leave Port Alberni at 8 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. By Bus:

The West Coast Trail Express leaves Victoria (with a pickup in Nanaimo) daily starting in May through to September and returns to Victoria the same day (250-477-8700).

The Pachena Bay Express operates between Port Alberni, Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from May to October (250) 728-1290.
